Front-End Ruby On Rails Developer
Do you read Smashing Magazine and Ajaxian for fun? Have you ever attended (or dreamed of attending) Edward Tufte talk? Does including reset.css to solve IE box model problems make you die a little inside? If so, we want to hire you. We are looking for an elite front-end hacker with a background in Ruby on Rails to focus on HTML, CSS, Javascript, ERb, and Sass. Strong preference will be given to candidates with a portfolio of interesting projects, Photoshop skills, and a working knowledge of Firebug, YSlow, and Google PageSpeed. Even more preference will be given to candidates who have done something incredible for its own sake.
We realize that the front-end is the lifeblood of our application, and we’re looking for a seasoned guru to hyperfocus and obsess over our user interface and experience to further improve our product. We’ve been iterating fast and furious to prototype and release an alpha version of our application on time and under budget. So, we’d like to continue our quick development and deployment cycle as we progress.
If this sounds interesting to you and you’d like to become our first full-time engineering hire send us a portfolio, resume, or preferably a link to something amazing that you’ve built. We don’t do yoga or have a Rock Band machine in the office. We are about kicking ass and taking names. Coffee is for closers!
REQUIREMENTS:

Strong preference will be given to candidates with a portfolio of interesting projects, Photoshop skills, and a working knowledge of Firebug, YSlow, and Google PageSpeed
Bonus Points: Even more preference will be given to candidates who have done something incredible for its own sake.

Sales Position With Tech Start-up
Are you an adrenaline-fueled entrepreneurial type who would rather get results than take orders? Does the rush of working for an energetic, tech-start up and taking on a big market excite you? Do you like the idea of working with like-minded young people who share a passion for crushing it in the business world and competing against the establishment?
Fusion Inc. is a collaboration software and Internet marketing start-up with over 400 clients in 4 countries, based right here in the Bay Area. Our popular Internet marketing packages include web design, SEO and content management solutions for small and medium-sized businesses in every industry. We also recently launched our new collaboration product for businesses–a simple, fun, one-page collaboration tool that keeps business teams on the same page (literally) and makes work more rewarding.
We are looking for a handful of ambitious, energetic sales reps who are willing to grind it out with us in the trenches as we sell our Internet marketing products and bring our new software product to market. Training will be included and compensation will be entirely performance-based (commission) so, in addition to the experience of working for a rapidly growing start-up, you will get out of it what you put in in terms of money.
We are also extremely loyal and almost always promote from within. Reps that perform extremely well will have an opportunity to join the company full-time to help us with sales, marketing and operations as we take the company to the next level.
If you are interested in applying for the position, please write a one paragraph cover letter explaining why you think you would be a fit for Fusion and include a resume. Also, if you are a graphic designer or software-engineer, drop us a line and we will forward it to our product team.
